Hey guys. I wanted to touch base about our D&D sessions. - TopicsExpress

Hey guys. I wanted to touch base about our D&D sessions. First, please note that we will not be playing this weekend, October 12. Unfortunately, we have 2 of our 4 players away and its just not possible. Second, please note that as of October 18th, we will be moving our D&D streaming night to Saturdays. Ceace and I have had some changes happen to our schedule (eg. Sunday bowling league) and that has forced the night change. Third, I will be changing the format of the YouTube videos going forward. I know that I havent posted our last two sessions. They were recorded and Ill probably edit them this weekend, since we have no game going. As far as the format change, I will be editing down the videos much more than I had been. I understand that a three hour chunk of video is tough, if not impossible, to view on YouTube. As such, I will be editing the sessions down as far as possible. It will likely be 2 to 3 videos per gaming session, varying in length from 40 to 75 minutes or so. I do not want to create stopping and starting points for the individual videos, but may do so if it seems to be necessary. Unlike a group such as Critical Hit, we dont do 8 hour sessions in one sitting that get chopped into 7 or 8 podcast segments. We just play for 3 or so hours every week. As such, I hate to cut into that time with the overhead of something like ok, I think were going to cut this video here followed by an intro and possibly recap of the previous video. That could take up to 15 or 20 minutes twice per session, which would drastically cut down on actual content. Instead, Im hoping to just find good stopping points in post processing while editing the videos. If you dont think this would work (or dont feel it works after the first few are pushed live), please let me know here or on Twitter. I want our content to be something that works well for you to view as well as for us to produce. Most importantly, though, is that it is easy for you to consume. I understand that 3 hour chunks arent easy to consume, but I also want to make sure that the new format is workable from both sides. Your input would be awesome. Thank you guys! youtube/user/cilraaz twitter/cilraaz
