Hey guys just a request for some donations for my parents - have a read and message me if interested in helping out, or pop into the Lismore Organic Markets on a Tuesday and see my mumma and daddy. What they are trying to achieve Bhutan is a constitutional monarchy country located at the eastern end of the Himalayas and is the only country to have officially adopted gross national happiness instead of gross domestic product as the main development indicator. Bhutan’s government is run by Buddhists and they are hoping for the country to eventually become 100% Organic. My parents have been invited to go teach Organic farming in Bhutan and again they going overseas, not for a holiday, but to donate their time and resources to help others. This time they are traveling to a remote community in Bhutan to once again teach farmers, both young and old, successful and sustainable methods of organic farming. They will hopefully be bringing with them some suitcases full of tools and books and also a large amount of seeds to create a seed library. The seed library will allow for other communities throughout Bhutan to access and use these seed to expand the food and nutrition available to the country. Regardless of these items, the simple act of teaching these communities organic farming allows them to feed their families healthy and nutritious meals without the need to rely on chemicals sold for profit by companies. This means these communities can be self-sufficient and sustainable whilst also creating a safe, chemical free environment for this happy little country to raise their children in for many years to come! so please donate a little or a lot to help out.
