Hey guys, were keeping beer week rolling this Friday with a special pouring at The Point Park & Eats! We are bringing a split batch experimental brew we did recently and would love your feedback on them! The style of beer is called a Gruit and is traditionally brewed without any hops, using other plants as bittering agents. We ditched the traditional bittering agents though and decided to try our own take on the style by using heather tips, rose hips, sweet and bitter orange peel, Belgian candi sugar, texas honey, and finishing each keg off with a hibiscus tea and a dandelion root tea. Of course well also have a few of our other brews available for sampling as well! We cant wait to join Jeremy Banas with Open The Taps again this year and of course our friends Denise, Noel, and Sarah at The Point Park & Eats along with all of their excellent food trucks this Friday from 6pm till we run outta beer!
