Hey jordan, Okay, so the latest campaign is all in relation to agribusiness. The stunt will basically involve increasing awareness of and campaigning against corporate takeover of small holder farms in Africa. So far the idea is to set up a stall outside somewhere central Derby, but i also want to draw people in and grab attention. My idea involves a flash mob. I dont know if youve heard of it before, but its not violent or in any way disruptive. Flash mobs normally only last a couple of minutes and are a great way of grabbing attention. For example, a group of students did one a while back where a group of them appeared into a public square, naked all lay down for about 1 minute and then ran off. Dont worry Im not asking anyone to get naked. the idea is that a group of people ted to appear out of nowhere in a public place, do something really random and then disappear, peoples attention will be grabbed, and then we can start handing out leaflets or whatever. This website has got some examples of flash mobs if youre a bit unsure.. goodnet.org/articles/1113 I havent got the idea down to a t yet, but at the moment I just want to see how many people will be interested before we go any further. I have a basic idea, but Im also open to any ideas that you or anyone who wants to get involved has! Once we get the idea more straightened out, were hopefully going to run a workshop for the people involved so everyone has a clue whats going on. The idea you had about fb is great as well thanks.
