Hey moms, just wondering if any of you are familiar with this. At first it was just red, from slobber and his little neck rolls rubbing together. I mentioned it to my doctor yesterday and she suggested putting some baby petroleum jelly on his neck and said that should help make the redness go away and prevent it from coming back. I put some on his neck this morning after his bath and I looked at it a little while ago and it has gotten SO much worse. The pictures were just taken with my cell and dont do it justice. Its a lot redder than before, it almost looks raised off the skin and its a bit bumpy in certain parts. In the spots where it looks glossy its not actually wet its raw. I wiped his neck clean but I want to know if theres anything that I can do to help it? I think butt cream might help, someone suggested baby powder but Im unsure and not completely comfortable putting it so close to his face.
