Hey people, when Im struggling w/ my autistic son in the library, your smug condescending smirks and head shaking and judgment arent really super helpful. How about not jumping to the conclusion that Im an awful parent and how about a look or two of understanding, sympathy and maybe an offer of help. Same goes for people complaining about kids on airplanes. Instead of acting like children arent entitled to share the same rarified plane air as you, how about taking a moment or two to think about what its like for the parents of that child who are likely doing everything they can to remedy the situation. How about we all just try and indulge in some compassion and understanding and shelve some of our first world entitlement? Ok? (Editors note: total swear words removed from initial post: 25.
