Hey there Bridgeport musicians: Tim Green, who passed away this week, is from Bridgeport. He told me about growing up there one night before rehearsal. Not sure if any of you remember him or ever knew him since he moved to NOLA in the 70s. He attended Berklee for a short stint before buying a one-way ticket to NOLA. There is also a write-up at nola, search tim green. Tim was huge on the scene here, playing with members of Astral Project over the years (James Singleton and Johnny Vidacovich) as well as with Sun Ra protege Michael Ray in his Cosmic Krewe. Tim was also on the Neville Bros. album Brothers Keeper and Peter Gabriels Us album which was chock full of NOLAs finest. Thanks for loaning him to us for all these years...
