Hey there Gardeners! Upcoming Gardening Days: Weather permitting, were hoping to garden on Monday and maybe Thursday or Friday as well. Spread the word and bring your friends! I hope to see you all there. Finding Straw or Hay Strange request but…We need straw or hay (preferably straw since hay has seeds that’ll grow grass next spring) to cover up the gardens and put ‘em to bed. If by any chance you or your family may have connections who can provide us with some, please let me know asap! Upcoming Weeks Here’s our (very long) “To Do List”: -Dig up the rest of the root vegetables -Cut down the mint for drying -Hang the mint to dry -Transplant some rhubarb and strawberries -Plant garlic -Finish pulling dried beans -Cut down the clover -Pull up any plantain with powdery mildew -Pull up and put away the soaker hoses in the garden -Drain the hose in the caddy and put it away -Mulch the main bed (to put it to bed) -Sheet mulch the smaller bed (to put it to bed) Meeting We hope to see y’all at the meeting this Friday (at 11:45) in room 103.
