Hi ALL Just to update all players and coaches that Legends Football Club regretfully withdrew as of immediate effect as a club of the Gatesville Social Soccer League. After much consideration, Legends Executive Committee has come to the conclusion that the views of the GSSL Executive committee, Gatesville Social Soccer league and Legends Football Club have become distinctly different over the past years. An incident happened to one of Legends players on Wednesday 03 September 2014 that resulted in the player being hospitalised. Yes we are aware that football is a contact sport and such incidents can occur to any player - that is football. Nonetheless our displeasure is the manner the GSSL Executive committee has approached the situation which has given Legends Football Club no option but to withdraw from the league. We feel the Social Football Fun, Enjoyment, Friends and Family spirit on match days has been substituted for results. We feel that results seem to be going to extremes overall. Legends Football Club would like to personally thank GSSL Executive Committee for giving us the opportunity to participate and be part of the league for the past 4 years, we would like to thank Gatesville Social Soccer League, all Clubs and players for the time and contributions which have helped improve Legends Football Club over the past years. Our Legacy will continue with many friends that we have made in the league. Once again we wish all clubs and players all the best for rest of the season. Yours in Football LEGENDS FOOTBALL CLUB
