Hi All, I would really appreciate it if you could spread the word about the Vocal Technique Workshop with Jasmin Martorell that Im organising this weekend as in the poster below. There are spaces left for the entire weekend but people can also partake in just one day for the cost of €50. Bargain :) WEEKEND WORKSHOP IN SINGING TECHNIQUE WITH JASMIN MARTORELL October 26th & 27th 2013 Saturday (11.00am-6.00pm) & Sunday (11.00am-6.00pm) Venue: The Lantern Centre, 17 Synge Street, Dublin 8 Price: €105 for the weekend This intensive and highly enjoyable workshop in vocal technique will inspire and encourage participants to explore the full range of their vocal expression. With emphasis on breathing and vocal exercises, Jasmin’s enthusiastic teaching and expert understanding of the vocal instrument combine to give the participant the confidence and skill to develop their natural voice to its full potential. The work will be based on how to place your voice, how to breathe and how to reinforce the abdominal muscles, with development of the agility of vocal cords and awakening/developing of the resonators. Participants will have the opportunity to work individually with Jasmin on a song of their choice. Jasmin Martorell Jasmin Martorell, from France, is a highly skilled and inspired teacher of singing technique. He is a charismatic, enthusiastic and patient teacher who delights with his pupils in finding new and exciting possibilities for their voice. Head of vocal studies at the Centre de Musique Medievale de Paris since 1991, he is regularly invited to conduct Workshops in Singing in France, Brazil, Iran, India, Morocco, the Island of Reunion and Ireland by embassies, polyphonic centres, music schools, theatre companies and choirs. He is vocal coach to the Franco-Iranian ensemble “Nour” and Footsbarn Theatre Company. He has performed in and coached in operas in Europe, Brazil and India. He has also taught at La Sorbonne, CNR de Toulouse and Conservatoire de Recife, Brazil. Baritone soloist and actor, his pedagogy, based on breathing control, helps both actors and singers in all styles from operatic to popular to traditional. The workshop is suitable for all levels from non-singers/ beginners up to professional.
