Hi Everyone! I read this recent article about how a bunch of immigrant children from Central America (for the geographically challenged thats Mexico, Honduras, Guatemala, etc.) are fleeing their home countries due to a surge in violence and despotic conditions, and now these kids are here. They are detained in detention centers extending from Brownsville to McAllen while they wait for lawyers, due process, and either deportation or foster care. This is a long complicated process, but the fact is, immigrant children are right in our backyard and they need our help. I found an organization who is looking for volunteers to sort through clothes, monetary donations, and clothing/food items.
