Hi Everyone! Its that time of year again... First club night of the year, introduction and information for new members at the Old Court House, Cnr of Roderick St and East St Ipswich on January 20th, 7pm. Why should anyone become a new member? Do you want to advance your photography skills? The club runs workshops through out the year where experts in various aspects of photography explain their skills and ideas. The club also organises informal gatherings in photogenic locations. As well as this, each month members can submit images for critique and competition points. The competition aspect of it is split into beginner, intermediate and advanced skilled photographers, with a range of trophies and accolades for each grade at the end of each year. The main part of the monthly competion is, however, the critique. A PSQ accredited judge explains what is wrong with images as well as what is right with them. The club will also run a beginners workshop early in the year to get people new to photography familiar with capturing images in the way they want the images, not how the camera wants the images!
