Hi Everyone, Myself and all of the Relay For Life Lincolnshire (RFLL) Committee hope you have all enjoyed the Summer holiday period and for once, the weather did allow us to feel that it actually was Summer!! As you know it was our Relay’s final banking opportunity last Thursday evening and I have to say, it was fantastic that so many of you were able to come along and bank the proceeds of your valuable fundraising activities. Once the remaining cheques are received and deposited we will soon be able to announce the final total amount raised by Relay For Life Lincolnshire 2013 on our website, via Facebook and Team Captains. So a really massive thank you from me and all of the committee to you all. The committee also met on the same evening with the CR-UK Regional Manager, Myles Godfrey. As you can imagine organising an event of this magnitude brought about some unexpected challenges and issues for us, which gave rise to some administrative and planning concerns too. All these points have been duly noted by Myles and have been taken forward by him, together with our recommendations for due consideration by CR-UK. As yet we are unsure when the feedback from our deliberations will be received. Accordingly, any new initiatives and plans we would wish to include you in for 2014 are by necessity being held in abeyance. Therefore, in the mean time, please be aware that our “Celebration Night”, provisionally planned to be held on the 27th September at William Farr Secondary School is on hold. There will clearly be the need for committee posts to be filled in order to take Relay forward in 2014 and we know some of you have already expressed an interest in doing so.
