Hi Everyone! We have a question from a mum seeking support and advice... My youngest daughter Scarlett was born at 31 weeks weighing 1.546kg dropping to 1.1kg. She turned 2 in March. When we were sent home we were told she was fine and the apena machine was turned off a week before she was discharged. This wasnt the case and She is now on home oxygen and the levels vary depending on how she is and still has apenas. She is constantly sick and has had a pretty bad couple of years so far, since her lower left lung collapsed a week before her second birthday, I dont think she has fully recovered from it she has had several bouts pneumonia and chest infections and is constantly on steroids and antibiotics. She also has developmental delays with speech and very low muscle tone and struggles with eating and chewing and sometimes gags and has to spit out what is in there and issues with her bowels needing a suppository every 4th day. She also hyperextends her knees and they are both very clicky. And she can twist them in ways that you should not be able too, And is complaining that it hurts. We are now being referred to an orthopaedic surgeon. My question is are there any other bubs out there that have similar issues at this age. Thanks
