Hi Everyone: We have found a soldier from here in HB that is in need of help for the Holidays. This soldier is having a rough time and in the process of a divorce. They have two children with special needs. One is barely verbal. Michael Shorey and I met with them to assess the needs of this family. We agreed that there were some things we could do to help them. First, food. Because of the special needs of the family these children have dietary needs. Our goal is to provide food by having a delivery (or deliveries) made by Vons. Second the children are in need of some clothes. The boys are 9 and 10 and are sizes 10 and 12 shirts, 12 and 14 pants and 3.5 and 4 shoes. The 10 year old likes Disney action figures and play-doh. The younger one likes plush toys and wants a yoga ball. We would like to collect are Vons gift cards and gifts for the boys. Because this is our first endeavor we agree that this is the best way that we can make a difference for this family. If you would like to drop them off at the HBCF booth you can do that.
