Hi Folks, I have been waiting for time to be on my side before responding back to you regarding our interaction with Brookshires. Well today is close enough, LOL. We did write Brookshires a letter and we did receive a response from the lady in charge of this type of inquire. I must say...... I think they realized they were caught with their pants down, but anyway let me pass on the information that is important. Regarding the following: We are not allowed to use a coupon on a .01 item because they say that the coupon says that you are not to redeem the coupon for more than the purchase price. (Again, this is a game they use so that you are not able to use 2 coupons and still receive ALL of the money from the shopper). Lets be honest, the only reason that we would shop on their penny days is because the deals are great when matched with coupons, but not so much if NOT with coupons because you were basically paying the same price for the 2. She was obviously confused herself because,again, I asked her what difference did it make whether the money was coming from the shopper or the manufacture and there was, AGAIN, no direct response to this. However, she did say that their prices fluctuated based on their supplier. I dont know how that had anything to do with what I asked, but Okay! And of course she tired to blame it on fraud again. They all do! But there is no fraud going on. What she would be better to say is, Im sorry, we dont train our people properly because we really dont want to take coupons, but she blamed in on the misuse of coupons, which makes them shy to use or receive them all together. Their answers to our questions were vague and beat around the bush. I wish I had more to share with you, but this is as much as we could get out of the letters they wrote and continued to reinstate the same thing over and over again, almost as if it were a mantra. Hell no we wont go, hell no we wont go. Well guess what, neither will we. Do I still shop at Brookshires yes I do. Do I want to throw up when I see their prices, yes I do. However, what is nice is there parking lot is never full and I always get a front row parking. I can get in and out without worrying about a crowd and I can always get someone to help me with my bags even if its just one bag. Am I paying for this ability to have a hassle free shopping experience, YES! So when I want to shop for a few things for my family for dinner and I want it quick and easy I go to Brookshires. And I love the folks there. So dont give up on Brookshires, just know that when you shop their you are paying for the ease and quickness of being waited on. Plus, you guys know that if you can stock pile those items that you need or want via another store, you just have to be patient. Now, on another note. We do have a person here in town that is making couponing a bad name by taking coupons out of papers, taking more papers than paid for out of the newsstands, and using coupons in appropriately. If you find out who this person is we need to address them, stand up to people like this. How else are they going to wake up from their dream and turn their lives around. Okay, you know I always talk about the power of the mind. I have shared stories with you where I wanted and item and then it would show up in the paper. I did it again with Thomas English Muffins, there is a .55 off coupon in one of the inserts. Well, you can do the same about getting the best deal. Put in your mind what you want and it shall be yours, there is no doubt in this, it works every time. Please be sure to post any questions you might have here so we can all learn and grow.
