Now, it seems as though our universe may expand forever always cooling but perhaps only before future phases changes and symmetry breaking events. Until the next phase change, perhaps we should by looking more at pure, perfect diamond for which to manufacture some components of these above subject starships. Other supermaterials may include graphene, carbon nanotubes, bulk bucky-ball materials, and the like materials to comprise carbon crystal structures. In the present era, carbon crystal spacecraft compositions may be limited to about a gamma factors of a few hundred. Much beyond that and the materials could either revert to soft graphite or become weak. Neutroniums, quarkoniums, higgsiniums, and the like materials would handle gamma factors as high as trillions but such materials currently do not exist as technological artifacts. The good new is that our universe will continue to expand and cool thus enabling spacecraft made of carbon crystals to perpetually accelerate at a rate roughly proportional to the red-shifting of the CMBR. Thus, in theory these bad boys could accelerated forever or at least until the next cosmic phase change. I can imagine future star-farers on these craft basking in the warm infrared glow of the CMBR at a gamma factor of about 120 behind a diamond window facing ahead of the craft. Perhaps such craft might by comprised as huge world ships that forever accelerate. Based on my familiarity with the UFO space-alien fringe literature, I do not think that the ETI are generally capable of producing bulk neutroniums, quarkoniums, higgsiniums, and the like materials but we as humans who love to dabble in nuclear and sub-nuclear physics may end up being the first to do so. In the mean time, we have carbonaceous supermaterials to work with and I suspect that the ETI make copious use of large bulk diamond materials, graphene, carbon nanotube, one carbon at atom wide fibers and the like materials which currently already exist in human laboratories on a more or less small sample basis. Carbon Crystal Power! Perhaps our key to the universe.
