Hi Friends : I am very much disturbed to note the disappointing performance of Benaglurians in the recent voting for Lok Sabha electins. Govt is spending hundreds of crores to organise everything to make voting simpler. Unfortunately two officers on poll duty died of heart attack when performaing their duty but some of shameless , irresponsible Bengalurians thought its of least importance. Even the election commission introduced NOTA option to express displeasure on candidates but still only 55% people voted. Shame!! As rightly said by one of the panelist on TV, there needs to be a law to vote if you have not voted, no gas subsidy or higher electricity bill. We are so called eductaed class, look at naxal sensitive area in Chattisgarh inspite of threat to cutt off finger if ink mark is found they voted 84-85%. If they need VISA to US they can stand overnight in front of embassy like beggars or for getting application form for their kins in a reputed school they can stand from 5 am in the moring but they cant spend 30 mins to go out and vote to the nearest polling booth. I think Bengalurians have lost their right to raise voice against Govt, Its time to wake up and undertand your rights and duties towards the nation. I feel ashamed to be called myself a Bengalurian but when I look at 55% people I am proud that inspite of heat and rain ( in northern karnatka) people came out in large numbers and voted. Jai Hind.!!
