Hi Friends! Photos & details coming, but just wanted to say thank you for your continued prayers & encouragement as Elisabeth regains strength at home since her 12/31/14 discharge from PICU. Im overjoyed & thankful to report that today is Miss Elisabeth Maxines NINE MONTH birthday! Wow! Were squarely into a new year on the calendar and her 275th day living on the Outside with Trisomy 18 and a very serious heart defect. Praise & thanks be to God for her life with us. To celebrate, last night on the eve of her 9th month, EM regaled Mark & me with her first bonafide squawk- and chirp-a-thon while on her changing table (the best spot on Earth.) It was the kind of raucous cuteness we were used to prior to 12/22/14 when she got sick...the kind we used to just hope wouldnt wake up her sleeping brothers. It was beautiful. She has more lung strength back & shes not hoarse anymore. Shes still weak and were still not taking her out or having visitors, but its wonderful to see these glimpses if renewing energy and interest in her favorite behaviors. Also we are celebrating long-distance with Elisabeths almost-11-month-old friend Everly Hopkins (Love for Everly on fbook) also is recuperating at home after some very close calls in & out of the hospital since November. That Sweet Pea is tough AND adorable... What a combo. Love & thanks- Anissa
