Hi, I am eldilon, an employee of Power Challenge, the company that among other things produces the online sports game ManagerZone. Before becoming an employee I played ManagerZone football for many years, but for some reason I never tried ManagerZone hockey. A few months ago I decided that it was time to change that and I created a hockey team. I started playing with a positive attitude. After all how difficult could it be? Well, the honest truth is that I failed miserably. The team mostly lost on the ice, and the economy was a total disaster. A few weeks ago it finally ended in the only way it could, with bankruptcy. I felt bad about this and asked myself why it had turned out like this, and what I could do differently in the future? I decided to give it another try and signed up for a new hockey team. Get back on the horse, as they say! When my work colleague Powdersnow heard about this, he suggested to me that I should create a Facebook page for my new hockey team and write about how it progressed, in a similar way to what he is doing with his football team, Sheldonopolis FC. As you can see I did just that. On this page I will write about my proud (and hopefully prosperous) hockey club Flarken BK, and their adventures in the Swedish league system. I will describe the achievements and tragedies of Flarken BK, but I will also try to write about the dilemmas I face as a Manager, and the reasoning behind the managerial decisions I make. As you can see, the blog will primarily be about ManagerZone hockey, but some of the things I write about will of course be true for football as well. I have been playing ManagerZone football for many years, but I am in most respects a total beginner when it comes to hockey. The blog is subsequently aimed for beginning Managers that take their first important steps in the game, but hopefully intermediate Managers will also occasionally find some valuable information here. The veterans of the game will no doubt be well beyond the things I write about in knowledge, but despite this maybe some will find it amusing to remember how it felt to take those first stumbling steps as a Manager.
