Hi, I just wanted to share what I have experienced today. I have began to speak out publicly about a local judge who my ex uses to have restraining orders placed without hearing. She has moved for the third time to place another order to prevent me from seeing my children. I decided to speak out at the catholic church, which has a large congregation including my ex and the Judge, the judge was actually serving today. At the announcements portion at the end of mass, I stood up to read a statement. The priest gave me permission. As I read which I will include, the priest, the judge, and a third person placed their hands on me and tried to forcibly remove me from the pulpit in an effort to quiet me. They didnt just ask me to stop, they moved to push and pull me, the judge attempting to remove the paper from my hand and then covered the microphone. Talk about your first amendment rights being violated. Here is the statement, attempting to not lose another thanksgiving with my kids and 6 months of visitations: My name is David McCoppin and I am not afraid. Good morning everyone, I only need a moment of your time.. A woman whose behavior has caused me to be diagnosed with Complex-Post Traumatic Stress Disorder has for a third time claimed she needs protection from me, as well as her children. But in doing so she proves her true motive, as she didnt ask for protection for her son living with me who proclaimed when the sheriff served me a Harassment order, “This is like Ghandi being charged with war crimes!”. Judge Funke has for the third time immediately granted the restraining order without hearing, and Diane McCoppin spoke extensively to Attorney Jeff Funke about building a divorce case against me. This restraining order is designed to prevent visitation, not for her protection and an abuse of the courts. A year ago Diane placed a harassment order against me in retaliation for obtaining protection for my children against Jim Gillott with a restraining order placed by Judge Bryan. The very evidence Judge Bryan of Nemaha County threw out without hearing was then submitted to Judge Funke who immediately placed the order and then Diane and her attorney used 6 months of continuances to prevent my visitations and never had a hearing. I would ask for everyone to think on these matters. Enjoy your Sunday. This will be the 2nd year I will have Thanksgiving without my family due to abuse of the court system.
