Hi I put this picture on Manx Nostalgia yesterday as a family tree searching relative from across sent this picture of his grandma and Auntie from 1923 and he had all sort of questions about it. Thanks to the people on manx nostalgia it is without doubt PSM, and outside the Ballaqueeny I presume in 1923 they would have looked like this (from this page). Which later became the Ballaqueen and then BayQueen, before demolition. Is that right? If that’s right I have a few other questions. Was the hotel on the headland next to where Dolphin Appts are now or was it on the prom itself? Also what was it’s role during the war? (some people on MN said it was for Italian Internees and other say it was military use) Did it re open straight after the war and when did it finally close? Thanks in anticipation, Allison
