Hi! Im Marina and I have had the pleasure of being the Gaurdian of 3 poodle babies! My first poodle was a 24 inch red standard who very sadly had the genetic disease of blindness. For two years after diagnoses we did everything we could to keep him safe, feeling secure and happy. One day he went completely blind and turned into a fearful shaking mess. It took me a long time to decide to do what was best for my red . June of last year we put him to sleep and I held him and told him how he was loved and will never be afraid again! His ashes sit on my bok shelf, I hope one day I will be able to part with them and spread them but right now his loss is still to new. A few months later reds breeder asked me if I wanted my replacement puppy ( buyer contract stipulation) I didnt want another Red poodle but she assured me he wasnt like my red boy, he was a moyen BUT Monty was reds nephew! I couldnt say no! To have a tiny piece of red back I was thrilled. Well although Monty is reds nephew, he is very Much his own clown. He has helped ease the pain of loosing my first boy and has brought so much joy to my heart I couldnt be with out! Monty was stolen from our yard 6 months later , beaten and left for dead a week before Christmas last year. I was devastated and so were our kids. Our puppy had up and vanished. We searched miles and miles, putting posters on every post in a 10 mile radius of our farm. We brought a tracker In To find him with no trace, after 5 days at -30+ windchill we had started to give up hope. No one had seen him nor evidence of him. Monty some how had found the strength with broke ribs, internal bruising and a swollen muzzle he could hardly see past, braved the elements and some how found his way home down a 4 ft deep snow covered cut line! After months of gathering info and small town gossip, 6 people were charge from fish and wild life, RCMP and county peace officers. These people had taken 3 dogs , beaten, duct taped and left for dead, only my tough boy returned by his own feet. I never got all the details and honestly I dont care to hear the gore. I gave my statement, our vets were questioned and the 6 were charged. I got my Monty back ! It was weeks of recovery, antibiotics from gut/kidney infections from the bruising and bladder damage from being beaten. He healed from all that and his spark has come back very slowly but he is almost 100% his silly self again! He is my hero! To go through hell and back and regain trust for humanity is amazing! My third poodle was a Kijiji rescue. Call it fate ! When I went to meet her she was followed by ckc certificate.. Related to my red and Monty!! After I got digging I found out Desce. ( dessi ) was Reds. 1/2 sister !! And Montys auntie !! I am thrilled to have her and Monty!! Its now a whole family Affair!! I Love my spoos!
