Hi Its autumn already (meteoroligically anyhow) but after a bit - TopicsExpress

Hi Its autumn already (meteoroligically anyhow) but after a bit of a hiccough today, its going to feel quite summery for many of us. Today we have some weak weather fronts crossing England and Wales, bringing some patchy rain and knocking the temperature down a few degrees from yesterday. Scotland and N Ireland will quickly see the back of any drizzle as it heads south east, and should enjoy some decent bright spells as the day goes on, and the brighter conditions will arrive over much of northern England & Wales this afternoon, and the midlands later on. The patchy rain should clear the south east this tonight. The temperatures tonight will drop into the single figures for northern areas, maybe down to 5c in rural Scotland, along with some fog patches forming - elsewhere temperatures will hover around 10-13c. Tomorrow and eastern areas will have a bit of cloud lingering, with more patchy drizzle possible, but much of the UK will enjoy a dry and much brighter day, apart from the far northwest of Scotland who may see some showers under thicker cloud. High pressure then really takes control and temperatures will start to climb a little higher into the twenties, though slow clearing cloud in the mornings will take the edge off at first. The north of Scotland has the risk of some showers and light rain blowing through as the remains of Cristobal drift away from Iceland. Ian
