Hi, I’ve sat back for the last few days and seen all the criticism directed to South Beach Bar & Restaurant and said nothing so I think now is the time to respond to this matter and hopefully put some closure on it. At NO time will my staff ever try to cheat any of our guests and to suggest this is very disrespectful to these hardworking, honest guys. I believe there was a misunderstanding on Sunday that my business partner, Bengan dealt with and as far as we were concerned that matter was finished. The entrance to the sea which I have spoken about many times in the last year is completely out of our control and after bringing in a team of marine biologists we found that there was so much sea life in the bay it would be unfair and highly illegal to remove any of the rocks, coral or sea grass. This I would hope you would all agree with and completely understand. As for the rubbish. Every day we remove rubbish that has been dumped at sea and brought in by the tide. Again there is nothing we can do about this and we have reported this problem to HEPCA on many occasions. Where are the managers? Myself and my wife have been in the bar every day for the last year and we both talk with guests and deal with any problems that may arise and at night time Bengan is always in the bar. On top of that we have managers who are always there and who are always on hand to deal with any issues. If for any reason we’re not in the bar we are always only a phone call away. The beach is empty. This was true through Ramadan, which I believe was the case for most businesses in Hurghada and now that it’s over the beach is back to what it was like before. South Beach will never be a packed beach as we are very selective of the guests we want in the place. If you speak to any of our regular and loyal female guest, they will tell you how safe it is and at no time do they feel threatened or intimidated as like on many of the other beaches. Our main business is the bar, restaurant and the live entertainment that we provide 6 night per week. We offer excellent food at reasonable prices, our drink prices are less than some of the venues close by, our live music is unrivaled anywhere else in Hurghada and the clientele we attract at night are of the highest quality. In the year we have been open we have seen no violence or trouble in the bar so for our guests our venue is 100% safe. We employ over 30 local staff in full time employment and considering the troubles we’ve had in the last year then I’d say we do something right.
