Hi! My name is Forrest. Im kind of a special guy, or at least thats what my foster family tells me. I have a genetic malformation in my front legs. Dont let that worry you, it doesnt slow me down at all! When they rescued me though, it was so bad I was walking on the tops of the feet instead of the bottoms. But the nice people of KCPP took me in, and took me to a special doctor who was able to do surgery to straighten my feet out a bit. They still bow a little but, like I said they dont really slow me down. My foster mom calls me her lover boy. I do have to admit, I love everyone. I really do love everyone. I love to snuggle and kiss anyone that will stand still long enough. I love all people, kids, dogs, puppies, everyone really. Ive never really met a cat, so Im not so sure about them yet. I am, however, incredible smart. Im not bragging, I promise. My foster mom tells me all the time how smart I am. I already know sit, wait, down, off, kennel up, back, drop it, leave it, load up when its time to get in the car. Im house trained, and even ring a bell on the door to let you know I need out. I play great with other dogs, but I am still a puppy and sometimes older or smaller dogs dont appreciate my gusto, but I know how to take a correction and if told to ease up or stop, I will. Im not quite a year old yet, so Im full grown but still have a lot of energy. I love to chew on my toys and bones and need to have lots of kong type toys to keep me busy if I dont get out to play or take enough walks. I get bored if you dont keep me mentally stimulated. What can I say- I like to be busy. What Im really hoping for is a family of my own with people who are going to love to snuggle with me and let me curl up with them. Id love to take walks and play with them. Though my legs are okay for now, I may need further surgery or orthotic supports made in the future so I need to be honest about that. But, the doctor who helped me in the first place has said he will continue to help me in the future. So, if you are willing to give this special guy a chance, Im telling you Im worth it. Im such a handsome man and I deserve to have the best life ever!
