Hi Regrarians, Im looking for people who are interested in, or know people who are thinking about/working on generating financial indexes which benchmark soil health as quantifiable numbers. (this isnt as complex as it sounds) ie Groundcover as a relationship to DSE stocking rate/cashflow. I get a bank stare when i raise the possibility of developing these with most mainstream ag consultancies. The implications or the result im aiming for is to put some solid, replicable, favourable $$ numbers on things like positive rainfall infiltration, positive groundcover where those numbers may or may not show up as immediate return to capital but more as reduced exposure to input price risk, extended growing seasons etc. My aim is to develop approaches to communicating the Regrarian ethos to an audience (mostly fairly socialy conservative farmers) who dont really resonate with the values focus but more-so the simple dollar signs and want simple explanations and recipes.
