Hi Zane I am a 27 year old woman who has been married for 2 years. My husband and I have been together for almost 8 years off and on we have 2 kids with one on the way im currently 9 months pregnant. When I was 4 months pregnant he left for a job as a traveling salesman. He has not been home since. Every time he is supposed to come home there is a reason he cant recently I found out that he has a girlfriend that he is with since he has been gone he pocket dialed me and I heard them talking at 3am one day. I feel like I want to move on and just get a divorce he says he wants to be with me but I dont believe him. I cant think of a reason why he would want to hold me hostage while he is gone to other states with his new love and I am here taking care of our kids he does send money every month but thats it. Do you think that I am giving up on my marriage to easily or am I right to want to walk away. Please give me some advice as to what I should do next thanks MY RESPONSE: You cant think of a reason why he would want to hold you hostage but can you think of a reason why you havent already filed for a divorce? The man has a girlfriend traveling with him while you are at home nine months pregnant with your third child. You are not giving up on your marriage too easily. He gave up on it four months ago when he deserted you and his children. Sending money every month is not the same as spending quality time and if he has time to have pillow talk at 3 am with another woman, he has time to bring his ass home to see you and his kids. Bottom line: are you will to accept this? Only you know the answer to that. Do I believe this is a marriage that can work? Only if you allow him to cheat on you and show up when he feels like it. You are about to deliver his child and he is off with another woman. No traveling salesman needs to be gone from home for four months at a time. Good luck.
