Hi addicts- Not sure if this is the place to post a brickwall, but Im sick of trying to figure them out on my own. (Help! Help!) Let me know nicely if I should post this elsewhere. Multi-times great grandfather, Dennis Sweeney and wife, Anna M. Heiser. I know about their kids, and know that he was mustered in as Wagoner and left the Civil War as a Private. Co. I, 29th NJ Infantry. He was born 4 Jul 1839 New York, died 27 July 1912 New Jersey. What I dont know are details about the next generation back. No known siblings. I have his pension, which got me his kids (in addition to a few more from FamilySearch), and I know that his parents were Edward Sweeney and Elizabeth. Ive gone through censuses, gone through the normal channels (but sure, feel free to ask where Ive looked.) Im going crazy trying to find Edward and Elizabeth Sweeney and to connect them to Dennis other than through his pension. And yes, have some good stuff on her parents and her siblings, but nothing that leads to her in-laws (his parents). Obviously, he wasnt born on Mars and shipped to New York, but with a name like Sweeney in NY/NJ with possible Irish background, Im kind of getting mad at them for being super tight-lipped. I dont care if there are scandals or whatever. Just... give me ANYTHING to work with! Sorry about the half-rant here. Ive been looking for them off and on ever since I got the pension, but heaven help me, its likely to be something simple that I just havent seen or dont know about yet. *gentle knocks against the wall with head*
