Hi all As some of you already know, I am retiring from the state having had two most interesting jobs with the mental health system and with the university of Nevada school of social work. Now my house will go on the market in August, I will complete a full teaching load for the fall semester and then I am off to my new adventure whatever that may be but from New Hampshire in Portsmouth. I am a New Englander and, surprising as it is to me, I want to go back there. I am from Connecticut but Portsmouth has more relevance for me. Love to have a drink or a bite with any of you before I leave. I must admit...I came to Nevada to retire and I have had quite interesting jobs here....I have been lucky...also met some really wonderful people and have developed a love for the Mohave desert in the evening or early morning. I have found great places for two of my dogs....one in Kingman Az which takes only disabled dogs and is a sanctuary...called Last Chance Ranch. As some of you know, my Lono developed a sudden acute hemiparesis. They will take Lono.. My Berner will be adopted by a lovely person in my neighborhood who already has a Swiss Mt. Dog. Jefferson will come east with me. I will take an apartment for a time ...and then my daughter wants me to move to Rome where she has taken a job. We both love it there. She has lived there for several years. I lived there in my youth right after college...another adventure in due course....stay tuned!!
