Hi all, Just to let you know poor old Harry has not been too well, we had to rush him to the emergency vets on Sunday as he could not put any weight on his back leg and was struggling with his front. His temp was very high and although drinking a little he was not eating at all, I carried him to the back garden to go to the toilet but he just went down on his back legs. He went back to the vest yesterday and has spent the night on a drip, they have given him pain relief shots, antibiotics and kept an eye on him. This morning he is looking a little better, he can get up by himself now but is not willing to put any weight on the back leg but is better on the front. His temp has come down so thats good. They are going to take X-rays of his joints and if that does not show anything they will drain some of the fluid from his joints to see if there is anything there. They have taken bloods to test again, the first set was OK but they just need to make sure and although they test them at the vest they will send some off for more though tests. I know we only have had Harry for a week but he is such a lovable boy he became a part of the family as soon as we saw him, it was odd not having him around last night but keeping my fingers crossed he will be home soon :)
