Hi all, many thanx for letting me in.my respects for the cafe racers. And guys, i need your opinion. I own 2003 Honda Custom CM 125 C. I chopped it this year,so it looks nicer than stock. But the biggest problem I have is the power/speed. The bike doesnt want to go above 60mph. I did few mods now: bigger carb + jet, cone air filter,bigger manifold - the bike feels much better and alive now. Currently workin on the exhaust (i am aware that i lost the scavenging),the air inlet will be yet rebuild to put more pressure in,and the engine will be flushed. But i have the feeling that all this power increase goes to vain,because as soon as i switch to 5th gear the power drops radically.i believe that last time i got more speed out of 4th gear than from 5th.I think the limiter may be in place. Any idea how to switch it off? Or any idea which CDI replace the current with (80s CM 125, CB125T similar looking engine, CB250N Nighthawk?)? Can I try different CDis on the engine or as soon as put the wrong in the engine will be screwed? Can I ride on the fourth gear only if i change the sprockets to make it faster? Any opinion much appreciated on this one. I know that bike mods are cafe racers speciallity so i am hoping someone had similar problem.many thanx in advance.
