Hi apologies in advance as I imagine this has been asked plenty of times before but I cant seem to find any posts... My little girl is 6 months next week and Ive got the BLW book but am still unsure of what sitting up actually means. Her fine motor skills are pretty good (puts everything in her mouth, tries to take food from my plate) but her gross motor skills arent quite there yet. Shes strong and can sit unaided (max Ive seen her do it sitting straight is about ten seconds) but its like she cant be bothered and finds it funny to flop over almost straight away. She can sit in a high chair but when I asked the health visitor she said that to start BLW she must be able to sit completely unaided. I obviously dont want to rush her but Id also like her to start experiencing food soonish. Is there any harm as long as shes upright and supervised as its unlikely it will even make it to her tummy for a while anyway or should I hold off as its a sign shes not quite ready? Thanks in advance and sorry for the long post!
