Hi, everybody! After a wonderful 70th birthday surprise I had a marvellous holiday in Crete marred by massive back pains, hardly able to walk, no appetite for food or drink! A few days after returning I was rushed into hospital with suspected kidney failure. Spent a week being pumped up, drained dry, every organ checked, Blood pressure reviewed hourly, prodded, punched and discussed! It was finallly decided I was ok apart from the fractured spine Ive apparently been walking around with for the past three weeks! Finally got back home today with masses of new medication, medical instructions and appointments for bone scans, etc! Not really too bad since most of them tell me to do nothing all day! (Ill work it out somehow!). MORE IMPORTANTLY, thank you from the bottom of my heart to all my family and friends who arranged and attended the marvellous surprise party for me! Only just had time to write to you all but find it impossible to tell you how much it all meant to me. It was a wonderful, wonderful event that I shall never forget.
