Hi, everyone! As part of the GSA film series at Crossroads, - TopicsExpress

Hi, everyone! As part of the GSA film series at Crossroads, sponsored by PRIDE (our gay/straight alliance, previously known as F.L.A.G.), we will be having our first movie screening of the year on Friday, Oct. 17th, from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. We invite you to join us for a great event! We’ll be screening an award-winning film called Were the World Mine -- a wild and entertaining movie that was featured as the opening or closing night gala film in LGBT festivals around the country. Were excited to show it as the Opening Night Gala of our own movie series! (See the movie description and trailer below.) All students and faculty from Gay/Straight alliances and their friends are welcome. Its a great way to meet new friends, or see old ones. We had students from many different GSAs at our films last year and it was a blast. The movie is FREE and free pizza, drinks, and cookies will be provided! But please reply and let us know if you might come, so we have an idea of how much pizza to get. Directions are below. Directions are below. If you have any more questions, please feel free to e-mail and ask. Hope to see you there! Take care, Adam Were the World Mine (check out the trailer below) DIR: Tom Gustafson, USA, 2008 If you had a love-potion, who would you make fall madly in love with you? Armed with a magical love potion and empowered by dazzling musical fantasies, struggling with his identity and acceptance, adorable teen Timothy turns his narrow-minded town gay while capturing the heart of Jonathon, the rugby jock of his dreams. --Wolfe Video This movie won the Audience Award or Grand Jury Award for Best Film at LGBT film festivals all over the country. “Enchanting! Endearing! Striking! Movie musical magic!” - The New York Times “Absolutely breathtaking.”—AfterElton See the movie trailer at: youtube/watch?v=9sH-ro9JkG8 ************** Directions: Crossroads is at 1714 21st St. in Santa Monica, at the corner of 21st St. and Olympic Blvd. The screening room were meeting in is on the 2nd floor of the Arts Building. Heres what you do--when you turn onto 21st from Olympic, take an immediate right onto a driveway-looking street and find a place to park. Youll see our quad which looks like a parking lot or an alley, and which we call (of course) the alley. Walk to the end of the alley to the tall building on the left, enter and climb the stairs to the 2nd floor. You should see people.. Hope the directions arent too confusing. Its not really that hard once you see it, and you can always ask people.
