Hi, everyone. I just wanted to provide a brief update about something since I havent been around for a week (and if you know this information already, please dont share how you know it. Privacy in other spaces is still incredibly vital): In late August, I will undergo surgery to have a hysterectomy. Right now, there are a lot of things wrong with my body, and to stop the necessity of blood transfusions and frequent ER trips for ruptured cysts and pain from severe endometriosis, surgery has been scheduled. I will post again before that time, but I just wanted to let people know that I will be in the hospital for a short bit, and then in bed for about 2-4 weeks. The idea is that Ill have a partial hysterectomy if possible, thus saving me from full-out menopause at the age of 32, but if the doctors see what they are worried they are going to see, Ive given permission for a full hysterectomy. Of course, this means some good things - no more pain, bleeding, miscarriages, potential cancer in my cervix - but its an emotionally rough time right now as I have to say goodbye to ANY hope of having future children. And I only have a month to grow used to the notion. So if anyone has some good thoughts to spare, Id appreciate it. Thanks. I am so astounded by how many people read it because they couldnt put it down, and how many people think it has the potential for publication (and a bright marketing future).
