Hi everyone! I just wanted to thank you all for the outpouring of love and support for all my latest endeavors in music. A lot of you I have told personally about the DJ battle thing were like, Azerbai what? so I thought I would clarify what exactly is going on, if you didnt know: Red Bull (they make tasty energy drinks) holds a worldwide DJ competition each year (competitors go head-to-head with 15-minute sets to rock a crowd, and their performance is rated by a panel of 3 judges on various criteria). This battle is called Red Bull Thre3Style, because you have to play a minimum of 3 styles of music in your 15 minute set. This year, there was no 3style battle in the US, and many other countries. For those countries that did not hold a 3style competition this year, Red Bull held a separate competition where anyone could submit a 15-minute recorded mix and 2 winners worldwide would be picked by Skratch Bastid, and a panel of judges, to be sent straight to the world finals as wild cards. The 2 winners of this competition were the Lucky Bastids. Im 1 of 2, picked from hundreds of entries around the world. Ill be representing the USA! The #RB3STYLE world finals are being held in Baku, Azerbaijan. It is a really beautiful city on the Caspian Sea. It borders Russia to the north, Georgia and Armenia to the west, and Iran to the south! Apparently in the capitol city of Baku, they have amazing nightlife and crazy parties there, so Red Bull is taking over the city for an entire week in September for 3Style! September 1-6! Thats it!
