Hi everyone, I need some help here! My OTTB that I rescued almost 2 months ago is now up to weight and healthy but Im worried something is still wrong. He has this issue with constantly...and I mean constantly swishing his tail. No matter what it is: grooming, saddling, mounting, gait transitions, even just petting/touching, he will swish his tail. Hes been cleared by vet and chiro, teeth fine, etc. Ive tried different saddles, pads, bits, bridles, bareback, you name it. Im starting to think he genuinely dislikes me. Except, hes always first one to greet me in the pasture and will stand next to me for hours without me holding him there. Hes never done anything aggressive towards me either. Is it a habit? Have you had a horse that does this? I need help. Thanks in advance.
