Hi everyone. Ive been thinking about doing this for a while and with my impending retirement thought I may give it a shot. One of the things we in the SCA dont do that well as a group is teach. We have some remarkably skilled individuals who teach very well whether that be through natural talent or having been taught themselves but a lot of our learning is really quite self directed and based on examples we have produced for us, whether that be an item of garb, making a shield or learning to shoot. I would like to run a few lessons on the basics of formal instruction. How to build lesson plans, how to present and the communication skills that a good instructor needs. Can I get some show of electronic hands from those who would like to take part? To support my offer, I am a military instructor, a workplace trainer and have worked as a trainer and mentor for police both here and overseas. Id like to share some of this knowledge. Cheers Semyon
