Hi everyone! Just wanted to take a quick moment to share my small career milestone.. 10 years ago today, I was 17 and fresh out of high school with no idea what direction to take next. I took on a traineeship at Southgate Holden as a new vehicle detailer and was taken under the wing of Josh Best, who with great patience and cheerfulness, taught me everything I know about detailing to the highest standards that were expected from me. I progressed to working the hardest I could over the 4 years I spent in this role, and was recognized by fellow workmates as someone who could offer them advice and assistance with their work. I knew I had more to offer the company and was keen to move up the ladder. The establishment of Reynella Mazda offered me an opportunity to prove myself as dedicated to move up within the company, and I was taken on by Andy Wortmeyer to move across to the fantastic new building in a varying role. 6 years later, I have been working in nearly every aspect of this company, from detailing and even washing service customers cars, service frontline and spare parts interpreting - all the while I was juggling the coordination of the new vehicle pre-delivery along side these other demanding roles. I have now settled in for the last 16 months as the Pre-Delivery Coordinator, and enjoy every minute of it. I feel I have achieved to establish a smoothly operating department to supply 100% accuracy and quality of the preparation of our customers vehicles to their expectations. Over the years I have met some great people both within and outside of work, including establishing and maintaining great relationships with our suppliers and trade customers - many of whom have helped me with my own personal automotive projects which I greatly appreciate. Each and every day I dont take for granted. I have driven some amazing cars that I would have never thought I would find myself behind the wheel of. I feel honored with the level of trust that my peers have in me, from driving Peter Altmans own beautiful Corvettes and race cars, to hauling and delivering a brand new vehicle on a car trailer to Whyalla - no two days are the same ! Theres too many people to individually thank for my achievements and progression over the last 10 years, so thank you to everyone who has been a part of it. Heres to the next 10 !
