Hi, everyone! This is Jason. Thank you for all your prayers! I wanted to give an update on everything that is going on down here in Hawaii. As you may have heard, I am a student at YWAM Ships, doing my DTS (Discipleship Training School). Im learning a ton and I cant wait to learn more. Ships DTS is a unique ministry, because there are so many island in the Pacific that you cant get to by plane. We take ships loaded with food and medical supply to secluded places to minister and help where it is needed. Doing school in Hawaii is a great privilege. During the week we spend the majority of our time in the class room learning about the character and Nature of God and on the weekends I am learning how to sail. In the 1950s the US did a series of nuclear tests in the Marshal Islands. Consequently, they discovered the negative effects of radiation shortly after. Many of the Marshallese became sick and needed to flee the islands. Because the US was responsible for the sickness in the first place, they gave the Marshallese refuge. Many of the Marshallese migrated to Hawaii. However, the majority of the Marshallese communities live in extreme poverty. Every Wednesday, I have the privilege of going down to the Marshallese community to give them food and hang out. This is especially cool because I just found out Im traveling to the Marshall Islands at the end of March for my outreach! In the Marshall Islands we will be taking the 75 foot ketch, the Hawaii Aloha (I know, cheesy name) from island to island, offering medical help, supplies and sharing the Gospel. This is a big adventure for me. I know that God has a lot in store for my team and I. For my outreach I need about $5000 by the first part of February.
