This is because the Governor of Oklahoma signed a bill a few weeks ago to Allow Horse Slaughter Plants in that state!! ALSO!!!!!, PLEASE!!! You can still go to: popvox to Voice Your Opinion about the two Bills that Congress is Dragging its feet on!!! Those two pending Senate/House bills, HR1094 & S541, Are to STOP HORSE SLAUGHTER IN THE US & the EXPORT OF HORSES FOR SLAUGHTER TO OTHER COUNTRIES!!! Congress will see the results of that Poll & will get the letters from You about this Greed Filled Horror! They are dragging their feet because of VERY POWERFUL people with A LOT of CLOUT, The Cattlemen, Who have one of the Most Powerful Lobbyist that MONEY can Buy on their side. Cattlemen who have been known to Run Wild Horses into box canyons and then shoot them in the heads and leave them to rot! Last year 170,000 healthy horses, cause the weak, thin and ill are rejected, were shipped to Canada and Mexico to SLAUGHTER! I am not sure if you can still sign the White House Petition but if you Act on the two Bills & the petition about horse slaughter plants and bill hb1999 that will be best of all.
