Hi everyone and Happy August, My most humble apologies for being so silent all these months. My focus has been on my new grand daughter Johnsie Parker, and keeping up with the ever changting world of farm to table food and being a new bee keeper. i am pleased to say that my team is working the social media aspect of communication by posting specials on face book and the like, while i am trying to get back into my email correspondence. though i have had some help posting a few fu things myself...this ole dawg can still learn some new tricks...hahaha Life is great, my family is healthy, my farmers are the BEST, they never cease to amaze me with such beautiful product. not only do they have to farm, but they then have to deal with their wholsale accounts and the farmer market...very long days, and always a smile..i fee so blessed. The wildly foraged local mushroom scene has been terrific and we are starting to stock pile for the winter. yeah!!! We have done some amazing events, the most recent was catering for the VIPs and crew of Restaurant Impossible, Robert Irvine, and Doubel H Hole in the Woods. two weeks ago, i had no real idea of who Robert Irvine is or what he did...i stil have not watched his show, but i had the pleasure and privilege of watching his team first hand. What they do, once a year is take a not for profit like Double H, and transform their dining room and kitchen. The best part about it was to see the LOVE, generosity and kindness that his team, the sponsors and the Double H hole in the woods staff and campers all shared with one another. At the reveal, as they call it, there was not a dry eye in the house...will keep you posted, i think it is going to be their holiday show... Just to catch you up, we have wonderful music most nights, daily seasonal specials, we are of course certified GLUTEN FREE, and keep serving the beautiful food from our beloved farmers...ooohhh yeah, the crew for Restaurnat Impossible said their meals tasted like happiness feels cool huh....thank you, Sandy Arnold, Michael Kilpatrick, Mary Pratt, Long Lesson Farm, Battenkill......and my foragers...a special thank you to my team they got up early with me, worked long hard days and turned out beautiful and soulful food... looking forward to seeing one and all soon. we still have our raw food dinner the second thursday of every month. we are participating in the Locavore challenge Back to Roots reatuarant week in September the wine and food festival my love to you all, kisses kk
