Hi folks. Several years ago I started this page as a place where a few of my friends I grew up with could talk about our memories of the old Charlotte we grew up in. The group has now grown to over 13000 members with hundreds more joining each day. As I have stated in past posts, managing the site, deleting inappropriate posts, stopping political arguments, became almost a full time job. I have other administrators that try to assist, but it is very time consuming. This week my inbox has been blowing up with complaints about he said-she said petty arguments that I do not have the time to investigate. I have also been called out in posts by name several times by people complaining that the site is not being properly managed. I feel your frustration. The site continues to attract ads and people looking for a political fight. Please understand that being a member of this group is with the understanding that it is at your own risk of being offended or annoyed by certain posts. Its not much different of swimming at the beach with no lifeguards. There are risks. With that said I will try to do a better job of policing the site for obvious inappropriate posts, and will bring more administrators on board. But it is ultimately up to you, the user, to scroll past post that you dont like, and avoid engaging in conversations that are likely to lead to arguments. Thanks for enjoying the page.
