Hi friends! My hometown of Arnold, MD (Motto: our zip code - 21012 - is a PALINDROME!) is having its first-ever St. Patricks Day Parade this afternoon at 2:00 p.m. The parade will form up at the Safeway, and then make its way to beautiful downtown Arnold, right to the town square, halt in front of the clock tower where the reviewing stand will be placed. The Arnold Police Dept. have kindly consented to let us have both motorcycle officers and a car as the lead-off motorcade, followed by the mounted officer on Jimmy the Mule. Bill the Horse has thrown a shoe, and were waiting for the farrier. Then, next will be the City of Arnold Pipe and Drum both of whom will be available after the parade for musical hijinks. Our guests on the reviewing stand include Arnold Schwartzenegger, Arnold Stang, Arnold Palmer, Arnold the Pig and General Hap Arnold. The Annapolis Irish Festival director, Eddie McGowan, will be there on the festival float with members of Dublin5, and of course, the Arnold High School Marching Band & Bakery will be there in their finery. So come one, come all to Arnolds first-ever St. Patricks Day Parade. See you there.
