Hi from Marrakshistan, in Moroccoistan. Mike reporting, all be well and life is good, Thank God. I would ask how you are….as protocol says I must do so, but….I know all is grand for you, as you have not written to tell me otherwise ! It is a sad life….for me, for I am here, and you be there, and there we are, now ! I am about to go into the countryside, for a few days…. You may not know that the Eid festival is the most important in Islam. It celebrates Abraham’s sacrifice, if you will remember. I do not believe any of it, but, it is a great story, in times of no tv and books. There is a lot, I do not care to believe, in that book, and any other, proclaiming, Gods personal people…! I will eat the sheep, head on first day, Sunday, and on Monday too, the intestines and heart, kidney and brains. On Tuesday, I intend to head back to Marraksh, meet some people, take café in djemma el Fna. Before the trip to visit friends on the coast. My mobile phone will have the 7 books downloaded into it, and therefore, I will not have to carry, much with me. I think the days of me, lugging about with books aplenty, be long gone, now. Thank God. The great thing too, with the Gutenberg press facility, is that I am getting to read books, I always wanted, but, could not find…in print, or in generous friends collection ! So, I gain much, without the carriage. Will still though, carry my falling to bits, writing bureau. It has seen many a letter written. Well enough. I am writing a letter now, in progress, to around the globe. Unfortunately, so many, are too busy, to reply to my letters. I expect they are delighted to receive, And worried about taking the time to give to themselves,with a pot of tea or some such. Sad really, for I find it is a very relaxing, de-stressing vice, to be explored regularly, and anon. Writing letters, that is ! Our new Televisual , is working well, with all the bells and whistles, some of which, I do not understand, Nor will be too bothered with, until somebody tells me, I definitely need it ? Then, with great alacrity, and time wasting, I shall learn, a little about it all, and be sufficiently able to engage, but not to work it well. Thereby allowing me the freedom to feel ignorant, of the whole matter, whilst having the use, of said bell and whistle ! My normal reticence, regarding will be re-inforced and like with the laptop(which I consider, just to be a modern version of the telegraph pole),and the mobile phone(ditto),and the smartphone(is there a ditto plus), and all the other not to be missed modern day appliances, in our ever-decreasing time consuming world, will be self - acknowledged as being correct in mode and attitude. Perfect. All is good, as you well know, and thank you. If you had any presents, this year, coming your way, for Christmas, Noel, Three Kings, birthdays, Bar Mitzvah, Hanookha, or any other, you did not want….you could keep them for me, to find a good home in the Marraksh region. So far, the donations of friends about and yonder, have contributed to schools, libraries, families in need, and children without. Too, I get to read some of the books, which is great, and now, I have some students, reading in English, here at home in Marraksh. They are not in school, as it is over for them, but….they are learning spoken English with me, and reading as well. Mrraksh is how the locals pronounce Marraksh…so do not give out to me about spelling and such like, for I will not have it. The Mrrakchis know their own mind and ways…..if you please ! Now, I am away to write a letter of thanks, to my great Host, in Madrid. I had a great visit, though, I was much dis-pleased that I could not go on the Camino de Sant Iago de Compostella.
