Hi guys, David Phreak Turley here giving you the lo down on the upcoming changes to Tristana in the new patch which will hit before Worlds! During internal tests where we gave a monkey a keyboard and pitted him against Samsung Blue we found Tristana just couldnt help but get Pentakills repeatedly. These changes are designed to emphasize Tristanas early game weakness and highlight her late game strengths. Changes to Q: After careful consideration the entire team at Riot decided pressing a button to get a few extra phantom dancers was not a very interactive mechanic. Therefore were removing Tristanas Q and giving her nothing. Instead, when you press Q shell just harmlessly giggle a little bit. We feel this will separate the good Tristanas from the great. Changes to W: We felt the mechanic of the jump was not consistent with other, more realistic scenarios. Now, when Tris activates W shell channel herself for 20 seconds while she radios central flight control tower to request permission to taxi. If the channel completes successfully shell jump to target location 600 units away but Flight Simulator 3 will load up and the player will need to navigate a safe landing. If the player fails to do so Tris will crash and die, permanently removing her from that specific game. We feel this will separate the good Tristanas from the great. Changes to E: We felt E offered too much burst coupled with damage over time so weve changed it so that when Tris activates it she overheats her gun, reducing her attack speed by 50/60/70/80/90% per level. Because Tristana is so tiny compared to the gun shell also rend herself dealing magic damage and increasing the effects of any ignite casted on her.... We feel this will separate the good Tristanas from the monkeys. Changes to R: Because even the chimps could press R whenever they were in danger we felt there needs to be a tradeoff for the safety provided. Now, when Tris uses R shell knock target enemy back but instantly teleport the remaining 4 members of the enemy team to her exact location. Players who were currently dead will instantly respawn at her location. We feel this will separate the good Tristanas from the people who can actually play this game.
