Hi guys, I have a client wondering about getting her dog trained for agility. Now, Ive never trained a dog for agility, but the concept of training specific actions/behaviors, and then chaining them doesnt sound very hard to do. Not saying its going to be a piece of cake, but saying that I understand the process and required outcome of the training. Note: this client is taking basic through advanced obedience before starting agility. Are there any tips or pointers with this? Im using a clicker for pretty much all the new behaviors. For obedience basic and advanced itll be a non clicker class setting. So Im guessing training around other dogs is good for future agility. Im going to be putting high priority on homework with the dog for the owner. Dog is an Aussie.
