Hi guys, its Liz. Ive been thinking about this for years, but with everything seemingly coming to a head, I can hardly stop thinking about the possibility. Shaul said in 2 Thessalonians 6 And you know what restrains him (the man of lawlessness) now, so that in his time he will be revealed. Now, I know that the main stream church uses that as one of their arguments for a pre-trib rapture, since they say that the restrainer must be the Holy Spirit. And I know that others have said that it might be the Archangel Michael (which is probably more likely). But what if the restrainer is not a who, but a what. What if it is our country? What if this country is the end of a long line of restrainers? Think about it. For decades, other nations have thought twice about their actions fearing retribution from the USA. But now that fear is gone. They no longer consider the US as the policeman on the block. Theyve lost all respect, even if once grudgingly given, and look at what theyve done. The Arab Spring, Russia and the Ukraine, ISIS/ISIL. I dont think there is another nation out there that can or would step in to police the world, which leaves it exposed to the arrogance of despotic nations that think they have the right to impose their will on others. Just a fragmented thought. Anyone have anything to add?
