Hi, just posting this on behalf of Paul Routley ( supported Kyle Routley at Ronin event in Nuneaton) who has asked if we could raise awareness for his good friend Martin Booth, Army Veteran and former comrade. If anyone around that area can physically go then happy days or alternatively support this then this would be much appreciated: The `Brave Mart` Fund has been set up following the recent news of a close friend and courageous man Martin Booth aged 46 years who has received the diagnosis of a rare Terminal cancer Post Nasal Space Squamais Cell Carcinoma. Martin is currently receiving chemotherapy in The University Hospital in Coventry where his current bravery echoes his bravery throughout his life and career. After 23 years in the Royal Corps of Signals, Martin has fulfilled some very dangerous postings in the Army including Northern Ireland, Germany, Namibia, Saudi Arabia, Iraq for the first Gulf War, Turkey, Bosnia, Macedonia, Kosovo, Sierra Leone and Baghdad. After leaving the Army in 2007 he then went on to work in Afghanistan as a Civilian contractor for the British Embassy, he worked in this role up until his recent normal leave time in August 2014 where he started to develop his first symptoms. Martin’s main wish is for Charlotte his daughter to fulfil her final year studies in her Dance Degree at London Studios, and with no income this proving a lot of financial strain on the family. There is be a Charity Night being held on 21st November 2014 at The Saunders Hall in Bedworth, Warwickshire where there will be a charity auction, raffle, dance display and a performance from ‘The Speech’. Tickets will be available at £10 each. We are asking all businesses for their support whether it be a sponsorship, donation of prizes, donation of money or even attendance to the event. Donations of any description will be greatly appreciated. Please contact [email protected] 07766653401 trudilou72@googlemail or call 07868746973 should you wish to help with the fund or the charity night with a donation.
